Someone have just cheated me and Chargedback his money after getting the script. Now my paypal balance is negative. What should I do in this case? I have withdrawn my money to my bank account Can paypal take money back from Bank account? Paypal may try to take it out of your account, so I would withdrawn all but a couple dollars from your bank account. Then get a prepaid debit card and remove your current bank information, replace it with the new information from the prepaid debit card. You will have a routing number and everything just like a real checking account. That way your personal, everyday bank account is safe from Paypal because they can be some sneaky bastards. And the buyer is always presumed to be right which really sucks. One more thing. Go to you sent folder and bring up the email where you sent the script to the buyer. Take a screen shot of it, call Paypal and tell them you would like to email it to them as proof of shipping.
I think you had better upload some documents to paypal.. Don't worry,Paypal can not take money back from your Bank account. If you won't add money,Your paypal balance is still negtive
There are 2 ways that you can get rid of the negative balance: 1. Top up your account from the money in your registered bank account 2. Ask someone else to send money to you from his/her Paypal account. Hope this helps.
Posh, did you even read the first post? He says someone did a chargeback AFTER receiving the script. Why would he add money to his account when it should have never been deducted in the first place?
Well, I have experienced the same case as the OP did. I was chargeback and made my balance below $0. Paypal will not sit there and do nothing. They will ask you to turn the negative balance to positive.
yea i agree with posh. if you have a negative balance and you leave it sitting there it will come and bite you in behind sooner or later. its either keep it positive or talk with paypal into getting the money back. but in this case since is a digital item its really hard to get it back.
You must pay for the negative balance in 3 months. If you don't, they will try to deduct the money from the credit card or your bank account. If they cannot deduct any money, they will get the debt collectors to get the money back. You can send a check to their p.o. box address to settle the negative balance. Call paypal and ask them about it.
Just pray that you didn't use your true personal info when you sign up at paypal. They have their own debt collectors
It is very important to turn your balance positive. Like posh said, either ask someone to send funds to your payapal or top up the funds from your bank account but I guess topup via bank is only allowed in selected countries.
