Paypal asking for Business license

    Hello,

    I am do reselling business of virtual goods and paypal is asking for all these information:

    I have provided all information except business license do really need this ?
    If yes how do i proceed to get one for virtual goods in India.

    Has any one faced this issue only source of payment i use is paypal since my clients are from abroad and find paypal easy to use .

    they using that as an excuse to continue to verify that you are who you say you are....
    I think it is crappy...they are who they are....
    What alternatives are available?

    Or
    Personal or business income tax return/filing

    I started my business in Jan 2014 how should i get documents so fast since its a new business .
    I will be contacting a Charter accountant tomorrow and see what i can get .

    I have other people doing similar business like me but have no issue or never heard of paypal asking them all these things .

    I want to keep a good relation ship with paypal since that's how i can pay my suppliers and buyers safely and fast .

    Can you provide them with a copy of your personal tax filing/return? that is on their list.

    this is probably one of their ways to verify you are legit. they favour buyers of course and to protect them, it is their duty to simply check your background.

    I am facing the similar problem with PayPal but in my case they asking only the business licence.

    macwin is your problem solved or not? if yes then can you tell me how?

    Still i am unsure why they need proof where we have already added the PAN details which works like a charm.

    Income Tax
    Service Tax
    etc

    Pay the tax and get your problem resolved.

    Having used to work for PayPal.com I can tell you the reasoning behind it is due to Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing laws. If I were you I would either give them a call or read the email you received carefully. I can't say for certainty due to your location but it's possible there's different documents they'll accept in lieu of what the site says they're requesting, and the only way to find that out is by either calling them or hoping you didn't have a lazy person send you a form email that wasn't customized.
