I recieved a payment yesterday, I spent it, today I log into PayPal to see that they have put my payment on hold, ie. they took my money, sending me aroun $20 into negative with my bank. Today I recieved another payment, and once again PayPal put it "on hold" They are pretty much stealing my money, I haven't done anything wrong, how can I get it back? Both payments are from my PTC site, where these people have bought advertising, it says "Inquiry by PayPal, Temporary Hold" By putting it on hold they sent that money from my account to "Unauthorized"
Yes I did: They say "from time to time" but it is not random because they have done it to two of my payments with in 48 hours, they are targetting me.
Send a mail, where you get payment. Asked them what happen ? May be they give you stolen money. Now temporary hold. And you also send a mail to PP about this issue.
Firstly they are not targeting you. With the millions of PayPal users worldwide why do you think they would target any one individual. What this is is an automated system which checks for suspiscious transactions, its all automatic and therefore they are definately not targeting you. The only time its not automatic is when its a chargeback but even then there is an element of automation in there. I once got the same problem, a company had sent me money then a couple of days later I got the same email as you. I logged in and gave them the information they asked for. Unfortunately the payment was in the end cancelled as the person who sent it to me was fraudlent (just after this their company got closed down). If you are confident the account it has been sent from is legit then there should be nothing to worry about, simply login and answer the questions they ask and all being well the funds should be returned to your account.
Well you just be very unlucky but stop thinking they are stealing from you. Many people get these messages - just contact PayPal and give them the info they need
This has happened to me too. I've opend an account with paypal and within a few minutes, I've received a call from Paypal, surprisingly. The caller asked me a lot of questions. I simply asked him how can I make sure that really he made the call from Paypal? He just explains my personal informations, I've gave during the registration. Then he has asked me some questions like 'what kind of business u r running and why do you want paypal?' I was about to say, "The Nigerian Ex-President's Sister's husband's uncle's son is going to send me a lot of money. Thatz why I need the paypal" I explained my business. Then he says "OK" Within 2 days my account got blocked by paypal and they asked me the reasons for receiving money from various clients. What the hell is this? I've clearly mentioned the person who has made a call to me that I'm doing Outsourcing projects and so I'll get regular payments from many people. They asked my client's the invoice they've received by me. They sent it to them. Still they kept my account blocked for about 4 weeks, because they said only 12 people out of 14 sent them my invoice. Then I'm running behind those 2 customers again and again and asked them to send the invoice. They did and then only paypal has released the account block status.
Actually PayPal has disallowed the PTC site transactions with their company. It was done because there were many chargebacks and complaints that were being received by PayPal from PTC site users. If they have put your payment on hold, you can call them and ask for the possible date of recovery of your payment. I have been using them for more than 2 years and believe me they are a very professional company. For PTC sites, you should use some other payment processor. Many people are using AlertPay and Moneybookers instead. So, you can use those after you get your funds. I have my $58 at stake once that were refunded to me after 12 days. So, do not worry.
Yep PayPal doesn't want it's name involved anymore in PTC industry so you should simply use AlertPay ,Liberty Reserve .This are PTC friendly processors. Related to your blocked paypal ..simply calm down, provide them all the informations they want and you should be fine... I've learned (the hard way dough ) that being calm and polite keeps you out of trouble
Yep its against their ToS. Paypal are heartless, almost one year ago they stole $250 from me. Im a minor but my account was verified and everything. Paypal have no access to your real age and cant get it unless they ask for a passport or something. They had no clue I am underage, they just got a real lucky, blind shot at me and because of this I cant get my money back that I worked so hard to get. Theres no excuse for what they did. They just got lucky. They now ignore my every attempt to contact them, I need to hold the owner at gunpoint, or hold a katana to his balls.
No, you are wrong here. Paypal would know you sooner or later. When you verify, you are to use a real bank-issued credit card to verify. Only non-minors have access to credit cards. Once you reach a certain receiving/sending limits, they will ask for a copy of your photo ID, utility bill and all that. Sooner or later, you would be found out. Why did you violate by lying about your particulars in the first place and then assume that you have not done anything wrong and blamed paypal for it. Paypal is a multi-billion dollar company which deals with money and I am sure that they have all the necessary framework to perform all the necessary checks so don't think for a moment that you can fool them for long.
PayPal (as someone said) is very official and will stop at almost nothing to help protect you from fake funds. And even though 90% of the time, funds your getting from your PTC sites are real, PayPal is smart and will put it on hold sometimes. I know its annoying, but your money is never really lost.
you will get your money back after a lot of faxes anyway it was pretty funny reading your post, i heard the same reaction about paypal so many times.. hahahahahahhaha what can i say -> http://DragonFyre.justgotowned.com
There might be troubles, but paypal is not going to steal money, especially such a small sum of money. Call them.
Paypal is very "secure" about its transactions but sometimes they take it too far, dont be surprised to see more of this from paypal.
