I have 2 silly and small queries : 1) My business name is Uplink Communications but I changed in preference Credit Card Statement Name:Tech Turtle. Now, when customer clicks on a link to pay presume 10$, he sees Uplink Communications where as he sees Tech Turtle in his CC statement. I feel its really confusing. Cant I display Tech Turtle as both places ? 2) Now, Before 28th feb , Credit Card Statement Name was ABC but I changed it to DEF from 1st March onwards. So, all transaction happened later than 28th march will display DEF on statement ?
1) In order to display Tech Turtle as the Business Name, you will have to do a Change of Name request. This will remove Uplink as the Business Name and replace it with Tech Turtle. There is no way to have the name as Uplink on your account but display it as Tech Turtle to your customers. You could try and upload a Header Image to be displayed on your Payment Pages that show Tech Turtle in the image. To do this, log into your PayPal Account, then click "Profile" >> "Custom Payment Pages" >> "Add", then fill out the resulting form. I've never used this myself but have seen it in action on some payments I've made to others. Could be what you are looking for. 2) Yes, that is correct. DEF will display on statements immediately after the change.
But it still shows.. PayPal securely processes payments for Uplink Communications. You can finish paying in a few clicks Anyways to hide or remove that ?
Unfortunately, no. That name is taken from the name on your PayPal Account and can not be hidden or removed. The only way to show Tech Turtle there is to change the name on your PayPal Account from Uplink to Tech Turtle.
Some banks do require that the name on your PayPal Account match the name on your Bank Account. Other banks don't care so long as the account numbers match. You would have to ask your bank what their criteria is but most likely, yes - it would have to match.
