I have just joined paypal. so don't have much idea about it. it says. i can add 8 email ids to my account. i was wondering can i use all of them to receive money separately into my single account or i can just use the primary email. As my primary email id has my name information which i dont want to reveal publicly.
you can use anyone, but you can only use the primary one to login your paypal account and send money.
No, it is not correct. You have the priviledge to add upto 8 email addresses in your account where you have to select 1 primary email address through which you can send and receive money. You can login with that particular primary email address only.

once you have added an extra email, its the same as any other paypal address. You can send / receive money on all of the 8 email ids. You can also login using any of the ids. The name will be same which the buyer / seller will see.
guys, I have not tried it but thanks for making the correction. let me tell you the recent case. I run a hosting co. I had received a payment of $48 on 2nd April 2009 with email: . However, that client no longer with to host his site with me and asked for a refund. So I went to the original transaction to refund but I could not as the transaction was older than 6 months. So I sent the refund via SEND MONEY option to his email . Now, he is saying that his email address is and this is his email address and he wants the refund on this email since it was his email address. Now, in my original transaction the email listed is . I contacted paypal but they say the trasactin is made from I dont know what to do in such situation.
You must reverse the recent payment made to sales@... Ask the person to DECLINE transaction if he received the email about the payment. Once the payment is reversed you can proceed with sending refund to tom@... Hope this helps you..
