    Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a cheaper alternative to paypal for taking payment from say advertisers (perhaps 2-5 transactions a month)... Paypal is a little high on the fees.

The most acceptable form of payment would be Paypal. I agree the fees are high.

In my opinion, Egold is the best, but it is not easy for people to fund their accounts so you may run the risk of losing business by only offering Egold as a payment processor.

There are others, but you will run into the same issues. I would offer your customers the option of using either Egold or Paypal.

    I hope this was helpful.

    Have a great day,

Thanks for the replies. I think what I'll do is offer all options: google, egold and paypal... and let the user choose, but suggest the one that costs me the least!

I use paypal too but just heard a very intense story from a business client who told me he wanted to send a check to avoid paypal because his child (in college) was defrauded and PP was zero help. He was voting with his wallet.

I've never had a direct problem with PP but you hear these stories...

There are alternatives but so far no one have a fraction of users PayPal has.
I can't use PayPal (my country is not accepted) and this is big obstacle for me in my online business.

I hate PayPal too, but unfortunately, they have the market cornered. It is tough convincing people to use other services.

I'm using 2Checkout and Paypal. Those are not the best choice, but they're what people prefer most.
