"PayPal" in payment method means, you already has to have a PayPal account to be able to pay via that form. If I go in my PayPal account, the only way to send money to someone is to send it to his/her PayPal account. Or ofcourse I can buy something on some online site which accepts PayPal. Read through the Payment processing category here to check which of some popular payment methods might suite you. Otherwise everyone will just ignore you.
How would egold be trustable? You send egold to a scammer your screwed. __________________ You saying that you can't be scamed when using paypal? All the scammer has to do is clear their paypal account for the duration of your clawback and you will not get your money back from paypal. Most of europe will not touch paypal, too expensive and not secure enough. If the alternative required is to take payments go to ebay and search for their banned payment list, as most of them have been added to stop their threat to paypal.
Paypal works well if you follow their rules. I have had my current account for more than a year 1/2 and completed transactions worth thousands of dollars at a time without a problem. It's when people try to skirt their rules you get your hand slapped. Back a few years ago before they got sued and new rules were put into place to free up funds after 6 months, people had their money frozen for a long time. I still prefer payment by them. It's fast and easy. And I can transfer the $$ to my bank accounts and I can use the debit card for purchases.
I have been using paypal for around five years along with other payment methods and can't see a way to follow their rules over the past few years, Another example in the UK paypal offer the option to pay for Royal mail postage. The problem that they do not advertize is that out of all the RM postage that is offered only one fullfils their rules for proof of delivery and that is only if the person signs for it themselves and does not ask someone else to sign for it. There is none for overseas. So free shopping for Christamas. So if you use paypal switch from your low cost postal services to a bussiness postal account, but as I quickly found you will have to cover that rise yourselves as most customers will not. If you are buying through paypal use your credit card, as unlike other online providers paypal do not offer insurance to the sellers for CC clawback and even as I said above if the sellers empty their account your credit card company will not care and will take the money direct from paypal. Do not just offer paypal as a single payment method would be my advise, most of the others are free to set up and offer. You may find that some are used more than others and some are not worth keeeping on, as it is dependent on your location. An example of that is nochex in the Uk. I find they are used more than any other for online card payments, outside of ebay. Even though I have offered discounts for people to use other methods that I would prefer due to the fact they offer insurance for CC payments but once the discounts stop they all switch back to nochex basically because they do not need an account to pay. bestoftworks: Just be careful of paypal they are making changes every day that effect you both as a buyer and seller and do not rely on them to protect you. Selling and buying on ebay has taught me that, and that is where paypal have the most control and still people are able to loose their money. Basically because they were taking in by paypals buyer seller protection claims and forget to use comon sense.
In my opinion MB is the best. Require simple address verification by postal address letter confirmation and supports Indian banks.
I took a look at MoneyBookers it seemed greate for me they just require a postal letter confirmation that seems so rational and logic to me unlike paypal where they ask a Credit Card while most of the world is not using it anyway I made a quick research on the web about MB happy to tell you almost no one had lost his money ! however there've been some technical bugs please what do all think about moneybookers? have you got any serious problem or something ?
I think there's bad a good stories about them all. I've used PayPal for the past 6 months while starting up various sites as there's no initial fees and most people tend to know PP. One of the main benefits I've found is that I don't get billed for chargebacks when other payment providers can charge upwards of $35. Saying that, for higher volume you're probably better getting a merchant account and doing it through someone like worldpay/metacharge etc.
redlorry919 You don't get charged for charge backs in the US? We get charged about £4.00 the last time I checked, the same if it is a paypal only chargback not involving a CC in the UK. Yoozy I thought paypal were willing to accept most current accont cards rather than just credit cards, or is that not the case world wide?
is not worldwide because there's no credit cards of any type in many places of the world then many countries are send only LOL it's just like a blocked road you can't add funds and you can't receive what is that suppose to mean ? is that what you call worldwide ? to be honest paypal is excellent for US and CA but it's not the case for other countries I said in previous post that paypal is popular not powerful and "I think" his advertising over swollen it's real weight and that's why people need to get sometime to understand that paypal is the worse choice believe me don't go away with your mind just look in this section you'll find many crying posts about getting banned from paypal without any reason just because they were deceived that PP is worldwide
So how do you prove who you are if you go to your bank if you don't have bank cards? Sorry if that sounds like a silly question just wondering
You can say the same vice-versa: you get paid by PP and finally a disputes is filled and you got scammed ;-) PP isn´t even "secure" to buyers, but e-gold is for sellers so e-gold is definitely a great thing for sellers.
Moneybookers is doing very well in this regards with much lower deduction fee as compared to other paypal's alternatives
