    Hello Everyone,

I just tried to add my credit/debit card to my paypal account, but it said I had to contact paypal concerning the matter. I think it is because the credit/debit card is being used by my old account, But I can't remember the login or password for my old account!

It might not be because of this, I honestly don't know! I contacted them earlier today, but I still havent received a reply to my problem, I was hoping it would be an instant reply seeing as they are a big company, how long does it usually take them to reply to email issues?

And has anyone else experienced the same problem as me? They told me to email: (might not be the exact one, I am trying to remember it)

    Thanks

    Jon

oh no paypal dont reply instantly... you will have to wait a week or more... beside i know what they will reply on there email.. all you will get is a automated mail asking you to call them to resolve your issue... so dont waste time waiting for there emails..... just call them right now but i am not sure if they will really resolve the problem or not... but you can sure give a try....

Once a credit card is attached to one account, it cannot be reused for another account ever. I believe this policy is to prevent theft.

Paypal uses email address as login so you might want to try all the combinations of email addresses you may used in the past. Despite you not being able to log into the older account, make sure that you still comply to the 1 Personal account + 1 premier or business account rules as Paypal is very strict about it.

If you forget the former email address used, click on the 'Forget your email address...' https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_email-recovery on the main page. As long as if you can remember your name, zip code and telephone number you can retrieve the information.
