No reason and locked? paypal is really sucked in it. this so called BIG　BOSS will soonly lost its advantages if they still keep doing this to their customers like this.

Australian Ebay sellers should be aware that once the amount of money in your Paypal account exceeds $1000 it will automatically be blocked until such time as you provide proof of identity and proof of residence. This is the result of Australian government legislation allegedly designed to prevent money laundering, but which must have a more sinister purpose as $1000 is a relatively small amount of money these days (many people earn more than that a week), too low to reasonably invite the suspicion of money laundering. Why the threshhold of suspicion is set so ridiculously low, I have no idea, but Paypal is not allowed to warn people that this will happen. So Ebay sellers should make sure that they never keep more than $999 in their Paypal accounts. Given that Paypal sometimes restricts accounts that get close to that, my advice is never to let your funds get above a couple of hundred.
You have to submit a lot of documents to Paypal. It is wise to talk to them over Phone as over phone you can make them understood about your problem. Then they will ask you to submit some legal documents. That's all.
Actually, in my case I don't have any of the documents they want. I don't drive so I don't have a current driving license, for example. And so on all the way down the list.
