Hi! My Paypal account is limited today for the following reason. I have to pay for my hosting this 24th. Without paypal I have no options to pay for it. What I've to provide them to resolve this issue? How long it will take? (I read in one forum that it takes 180 days) Any ideas? Plz help me.. I verified my acc with a VCC (I know this is not the matter for my account limited)
No, it does not take 180 days to resolve the problem. The 180 days is more like you just ignore what they tell you to submit and they will let you withdraw your balance after the 180 days wait but your account will remain limited. Log into your paypal account and go to the Resolution Center, it will tell you what documents you need to submit in order to lift the limitations. VCC can be tricky especially if Paypal ask for your credit card statements. At the same time, write to your hosting company and tell them that there may be some delays and tell them to wait as you will pay them once the problem is resolved.
They must have asked u to send some documents, like utility bill,id card etc, just send them and call them up (around 12AM-1 AM IST), once they verify your documents, they will restore in 5 minutes.
getjimmy is totally right. It too happened with me twice and I submitted the relevant documents to them. Within a week my account limitation was resolved. So 180 days is a hoax. Just do as they say and you are done with your problem. its nothing to worry.
click resolve issue to see what they want you to provide. generally they need to confirm your phone number, home address, bank account, photo ID
Happened to me before. Paypal is good for everything else but this one is pain in the ass. Just follow what they need (by providing supporting docs) and you are good to go.
The trouble is that Paypal needs to comply to the law and ensure that their services are not abused especially in the reality of today where money laundering is made easier with the internet. The finance industry is highly regulated and they need to be sure you are who you claim to be, too many people here ignores their contractual agreement to sign up.
