Paypal Account Limited Access

Ok, I went to buy a domain just now and then it said didnt have enough money so I went to check my account balanace and it said my account was limited. Reason is:

Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s):

23 Nov. 2007: We have reason to believe that your account was accessed by a third party. We have limited access to sensitive PayPal account features in case your account has been accessed by an unauthorised third party. We understand that having limited access can be an inconvenience, but protecting your account is our primary concern.

Now they asked me to change my password and security question and also submit documents to verify my address. Now I did it all, but I didnt know what they meant by submitting proof of adress, well i know what it emant, but I didnt know what documents they needed, so all I did was take a photo of my bank statement with my address and bank details.

Now my question is, why have they done this, it isnt clear from the reason they gave, adn do you think that the bank statement is enough for them??

Proof of Id is any Government Id proof which you have Like DL or anything .. You just need to submit Bank;s Statement for Proof of Address and they will unlimit your account within some time frame

 

Ok, so my bank statement is enough to show proof om my address?? Well thats good, I just dont wanna get into any trouble because I did nothing wrong

 

PayPal regularly checks accounts and asks proof of identity. I reckon what happened to you was a random check. If you've really done nothing which is against their TOS, they could restore your account in a matter of days. I even know someone who's got his account back up in one day.

Who composes those PayPal emails, by the bye? The syntax is horrendous.

Behind all the PayPal limitations? Aha. If only I knew, I could sell his identity for millions to the first angry PayPal user who can afford it.

But seriously, as I said, PayPal does random checks, especially if you've been receiving large amounts in your account. There's nothing to be afraid of if all your details are legit. You just need to follow-up on your case so PayPal does their end and lift your limitation.

& how com v know dat if our account has been resotred or it is in the process of restoring!!!!

 

I think it's a matter of luck, actually. I know someone who's been receiving thousands in his Premier account but hasn't been limited once in his two years with PayPal. I know another who's been using VCC for the last one and half years and hasn't been limited. But I also know a lot of people who have perfectly legit details who have been limited more than once for the past year.

i faced this same problem last week and solved it with a phone call..

 

Yeah they just restored my account like 5 hours after I submitted my bank statement. So its all good. Must have been a random check so its all good.

At least I know that I didnt do anything wrong

 

they do so one time in all the accounts and once your account has been unlimited then you would not have to worry .. Now they will not limit your account in near future .. At least not with me.. I have been with paypal and once my account limitation's was restored I now transact in over thousand dollars per month

Jammu, My account is being limited too. and luckily I haven't sent my merchandise. but Paypal is asking the tracking number for it.
