    Hi,

again for the paypal limitation question. I am verified Singaporean account but i keep only 2 USD in my account. The problem start 2 days ago when I check my account from other country where I have to travel for business. Paypal request my address proof, so i send the fax of my bank statement. Then they request why I changed my password and security questions from other country. i believe they have noted my IP.

I am really sick with PAYPAL. I have to go back to Singapore and re activate my account. They are too sensitive. But I am less worried because I have only 2USDin my account. Any suggestion for me to avoid such problems.

There are quite a few countries that paypal does not allow near Singapore. I would if at all possible, avoid logging in from an IP in one of those countries. If you do log in, don't make any changes to your account. I'm not personally sure on the exact countries that would trip this. In your area, I would avoid logging in from Malaysia and Indonesia, but there may be others in the region as well. Also you may be able to setup a proxy for yourself if you do any local hosting.

I see how you can be "sick" but it was for your protection. Next time you travel to another country, either call or email PayPal to let them know so there won't be anymore problems.

    thank you guys.

i can now avoid such things. But one important point from "hav0c" is that I should call or e-mail before I go abroad. This is too bad. I don't see any regulations from Paypal that I should notify my travel.

Anyway, thank you again for your replies and kind suggestions.

It may not be a requirement from them but if you regularly access your account from one country, then it gets accessed from a different one, that would raise a flag. Calling them to let them know that you may need to access your account from country "X" is just a safeguard so they know there's nothing suspicious happening.

Paypay don't worry how balance in your account, they are 100% automatic. If you hate PAYPAL, give PAYPAY a try, you will like it ! See my signature. Like PAYPAL but better than PAYPAL.

The same general thing happens to you when you go abroad and pay things with your credit card without any notice. You'll end up with calls asking if you authorize the payment or not. Paypal is simply trying to protect you from your account being stolen and fraudulent transactions happening on your account.
