Hi, As I know, Paypal have 3 types of account which are Basic, Premier and Business. I find in paypal site, but could not found any about the upgrade fee from basic to premier/business. Do you guys have any info?
right, the ugrade is free. however once you have upgraded there are a host of fixed and variable fees that is levied upon the transactions.
However, you cannot maintain the Basic (better known as the Personal) account if you plan to receive money of a commercial nature.
PayPal only allows anyone to own max 2 accounts, one is Personal level and other is Premier/ Business level. If you have upgraded your account to higher level, you cannot be downgrade your account except you need to contact to PayPal staff.
Upgrading to premier/business account is free but paypal allows you to own 2 accounts on same name and these can be personal and premier/business so I dont see the point in upgrading.
Ok noted. BTW, is there any possibility to get barred if using personal account with a lot of fund transfer activities? Normally, what is the reason they bar, freeze our paypal account?
Well, the personal account is not supposed to be receiving funds that often so unless you can justify that you have a lot of friends which owes you money, they may become suspicious. Of course there is nothing wrong is using the Paypal account and spending a lot through it. As you know the personal account is not for commercial or business purposes so if they determine that it is used for such they may levy the fees or limit your account. A lot of transactions may appear to activate their money laundering alerts. Of course, if your incoming transactions are from Mass Pay receipt then it is fine. Also if you use the paypal account from a non-supported country IP, it could spark an alert.
