I have made a paypal account because I won a contest which allowed me to earn some cash. The guy asked me for my paypal ID and I didn't have one, so I made one. Then it STUPIDLY turns out you need a credit card or bank account (I have neither, I'm just a student). Can I still receive cash from this person and use it to buy things online or no? Also does it cost to have a paypal account? I have done nothing with mine, will I be billed or something? And is it a bad thing if I gave false information (like my name and my address) I don't want people to know this stuff.

If you don't have a CC or bank account,you can also use your parent's CC to verify paypal.but name in paypal must match the name of bank account.
Many only contests, actually benefit themselves,.. its suspected if they ask more than a pp account, to which they simply can transfer. no problem if you do not have a credit card, or a bank a/c. later you can some how, draw/spend they money if its really, credited into your pp a/c. do not get mess into this kind of online contests, if sincerely advice, get some right track, as u r a student., with some programming, affiliate marketing, skills. which fill your needs. do not spend time or money which is not for food. i think u understand. do not waste pounds for pennies.
I don't know anything about credit cards and my parents will NOT let me go near their credit cards. If they found out I did they would be so mad. I'm only 16 and I heard you have to be 18 to even have a paypal account. I have no credit card or bank account, does this mean I CANNOT buy things with my money online? Also do I have to use my real name if I dont have a bank account or credit card? Please someone fully explain this to me =/
