Paypal account got hacked - Any cure?

Hi friends,

My friend think his paypal (verified through bank) got hacked or he forgot its password. He doesn't know what CC number he entered, also he doesn't remember both of the security questions. It was quite old account. I think he entered random security information.
Is there any way that he get back his PP? Because his email address is still working. Is it possible that paypal send him his password on his same email with which he registered on paypal?

Well he can try forget password but in that case PayPal will ask security questions and he need to answer them. Or else he can call PayPal and ask them for help but in that case also they might ask him to verify few things. If he don't remember anything and there isn't huge amount in that PayPal then he better move ahead and create another one.

its better to call them. they normally have a solution and are quite fast in solving issues.

Will they ask us to fax some document like ID card or driving license ?

 

Contacting customer support is the first thing to do ! Do it quickly, else u may looose the money

 

I think the best possible solution is have your friend call paypal I am pretty much sure they would have solution to this one ...And he needs to explain to paypal about his problems ..

 

Yeah, this really isnt something to ask for help here. First thing you need to do it call paypal, if they cant help you then call your bank/cc company and get it un-linked to paypal.

This happened to me in like 2005 I think, it got hacked by a client, he tool $250 from my paypal ballance and put it into his account(idiot). Paypal helped me get my account back and gave me my money back, took about a month though.

 

Yup the support staff will ask him to send some documents to verify if he is the actual owner of the account , so if he can send those documents tell him to contact their support , no other way about it.

 

If you contact paypal I believe they can go through some sort of verification process so you can get your account back.

 

Not only Paypal, but for every other service if you contact them and ensure all the neccessary details about the account are true, they can certainly help you.

Actually it doesn't have much money...i think just 45$.... but the thing is that I need his paypal (even more than him LOLS)

call customer care . and explain ur problem to them . sure they will help you to get back ur acc !

 

hey the solution to your question is quite simple. if you don't remember security questions and cc number paypal will mail you (physical mail to the address on the account with your new generated password.. i'd this experience. so no worries paypal is great in this tactics.

 

the best thing is to call paypal to resove it for you.
