PAYPAL accepted my PAN num atleast

    Hi friends,

    i have been trying to add my PAN no to my paypal account for the past few days.It always rejected my number saying there is some error.i even mailed paypal and they told me a procedure to fax my pan card copy.Before going into that procedure i tried for a last time today and paypal accepted my number in a single try...;)

    Has it happened to Anybody else?????

    It is really strange that a same PAN number rejected several times earlier.... gets accepted in the next try... without any intervention whatsoever! :confused:

    Strange are the ways of Paypal and it really frustrates you... if you are caught at its wrong end! :(
    I am glad my PAN number got accepted in the first try! :)

    i tried more than 20 times for past few days, but 2 day i try and accepted, i think they finished their maintence process

    I love you man ... Seriously i do .. I was about to fax them my pan card details..
    Now they are not cross checking the fifth character in the PAN card for the first character of last name..
    Love it :D
    My PAN card got accepted
    After 17 days of horror finally got Happy ending

    But Paypal still not accepting my PAN card and showing this error:
    PAN Number: You have entered a PAN number which already exists in our system. Please check your entry and enter again.

    What does it mean ? I cant add same PAN card if i have 2 accounts in paypal with same user name. As I have confirmed my PAN with my personal account but they are not accepting it for business account.
    I am shocked , because paypal allow us to make 2 accounts and now what they are doing.

    Just do one thing that call them and let them know of this issue. They'll guide you further for this IMO.

    No,My Last name was different in my PAN and paypal.That was the reason i had trouble in updating it so far.They must have changed the process of checking pan and paypal name.

    I think your problem is totally different from us.So its better you ask paypal for help.

    PayPal is using API provided by UTI Technology Services Limited and TCS (who are PAN card issuer in India) Sometime due technical connectivity issues the request gets failed and you get that error from paypal.
