Contest PayPal $20 : PSD Logo Contest for Drywall Contractor - Ends Saturday 12:00pm EST

We need an original logo for a header graphic to be used by torontodrywallexperts.com which will be providing drywall installation services.


Here are the requirements:

• Logo must be completely original and have a clean, professional look.

• Logo must include the text "Toronto Drywall Experts"

• Logo must be created using the .PSD file http://visibleonlinemarketing.com/shared/tde_header.psd where there's a text placeholder for the logo.

• Color scheme and size are open, as long as the background and size of the tde_header.psd are left unchanged.

• Logo should be delivered in .PSD format with layers.

• If you use special fonts, we will need the fonts and all layers to the .PSD file (eps) upon completion (in case we would ever need to add a word or a tagline).

• Payment of $20 USD will be paid by Paypal, no other payment method is currently available.

• The winner will give up all rights to the logo upon payment.

• Post your designs here please - NO PMs.

I am not thrilled with the graphics: it feels too complex and too cartoon-like. I would prefer something more simple.

I feel your text needs more contrast. It blends to well with the background. Adding color may be an idea.

Thanks for the comment,,. i will change the txt not a problem,,. i just wanted to post faster,,. that's why i didn't spend much time on txt,,.

 

Last night my client said that, so far, he's not yet seeing a clear winner. He liked the bottom logo in post #10 (login.arvind) and the text layout from post #5 (good designer).

He mentioned that many logos look too much like logos for painters not drywallers. Drywallers don't use brushes, rather tools like this: http://www.house-painting-info.com/images/drywall-tools.jpg

You are a good listener! Your entry is definitely in the right direction. I find your logo too complex, both in design and too many colors. I also think it looks too much like a painter.
