Payments/Terms

    Guys, another question:
Is PayPal the most accepted form of payment processing? Is everything I need included in PhPld and all I need to do is set up an account with PP?

Also, is a "Terms & Conditions" page included or do I have to draft one myself or use a template somewhere?

Sorry if these are total noob questions, that's because I am one.

    Thanks for any help.

Some templates come with a submissions guidelines, but in the end you will end up editing or drafting your own. Very easy to do and include.

PHPLD mostly comes setup and all you have to is fill in your paypal email. I would say it is widely used and accepted.

Yes. PHPLD comes with ready setup so you just have to fill in your paypal email there. But if you want to add other payment processors like 2CO and Money Bookers then there is 'Alternate Payment Option' Mod also available for that for phpLD.

Paypal is indeed good but its still a good idea to try and have accounts with the other payment processors, as a paypal account can quite easily be taken away from anyone.

Embrace the other companies too, strengthen them so that they stick around and get a good rep and others may start using them more.

You could add in Google Checkout as an option as well.

I have accounts with Alertpay, E-gold, Moneybookers, 2CO, ive looked around and continue and will maybe look at including one more in the near future.

Theres also PPPay, Nochex, both only for UK though, but depending on your market.

Someone i know is currently working on google checkout mod plus at least one or two others here have already done it i think.

Remember that Paypal only appears to have 99% hold because people ignore the other companies, many people infact cant use Paypal where they are.

My directory will be for physical businesses as well as their websites, so it's national only. I do however plan on making it international eventually.
Is it easier for the customer if I have several different choices, or do most, as you said, have PP anyway?

    I like PayPal too.

This is a little off-topic, looking at the avatars of some of you who have responded, I feel I should go off a design a new avatar. I feel soooo plain... Nice job by the way.

    Q...

I have always used PP. Very fast and efficient. They are good at sorting out any disputes if you have any. I have never had any problems with them.
