No doubt the solution to the following is already out there some where in the rules etc but I am afraid that could not find it! I have recently returned to DP after a while and have purchased three small sites over the last few days, in addition to accepting an offer of service by an seo chap. For some reason, it shows on my profile in the new system, that two of the transactions are Unpaid. That is not correct, as I always try to pay immediately for any thing that I purchase and in this case the payments for all three transactions were made on same day as the date of purchase. The seo services to be offered and the payments for the same are still under discussion. The profile states however, that I have "been involved in 2 transactions with 2 different users." and that two transactions were "Unpaid"! The only reason I mention this, is because I do not know if members are held responsible for misleading statements on their Profiles etc. Also, do I have to register each payment that I make for a purchase somewhere for it to register with the system?
Did you use instant pay? In order to be credited with the transaction you must use instant pay and not pay the seller directly.
On one of the transactions the Instant Pay was not working on the seller page, so I paid via Paypal to the paypal address provided by the seller. I think that I did BIN for the transactions on the seller page in each case though and all the payments were made via Paypal.
"In order to be credited with the transaction you must use instant pay and not pay the seller directly" I am confused about the need to be "credited with the transaction". The idea was to purchase the sites and pay for them. If any transactions can not be mentioned for some rules etc this understandable. But surely it is not accurate and could be misleading to show the transactions, but show them as Unpaid, when it can be clearly seen on the thread that the payments were made? thanks
Check this thread regarding Instant Pay: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/transition-away-from-itrader.1942652/. It explains situations better than I ever could.
Yes that thread is indeed a good source of info explaining all about the old ITrade and how the new system is a lot better. Most importantly the new Instant Pay avoids potentially false information being used by members to try and plant false information and thereby manipulate the ITrade counts etc. That sounds good. The problem is that as you can see, in this case false information about the sites being unpaid has been added by the new system, even when it can be clearly seen that the said payments were made quickly and in full. What happens when the Instant pay button does not work for some reason, as was the case for one of the sites this time ?
Sorry to keep asking these questions but what happens when "The seller does not allow Instant Pay for this transaction." ?
When seller does not allow instant pay or does not have business or Premier Paypal account, no feedback is given.
I am afraid that I found that to be not quite accurate in at least two cases. Basically all I do here is look for some interesting stuff and buy it for clients if I can I am sure that you agree, that it is not right that when the instant pay button is not working for no fault of the buyer or the seller and the transaction shows up as unpaid, even when the payment is clearly made for all to see. I thought that the least that the new system would do, is to ensure that no false or misleading information is posted.
