Payment Question

It appears Google posted payments on the 16th. Mine was not posted. I started on the 14th of May and easily exceeded the $100. All tax info was entered. Has anyone experienced this with their first payment?

you may just be short of the month 14th start - 16 posting is not nessesarily processing. If I'm not mistaken they have a cut off couple of days before process check all flagged exceptions and than post.

So don't get impatient they do pay and it can take up to 10 days untill your cheque apears through the post (at least that seems to be for me in UK).

Did you choose if your account is a Business or Individual account? That's new for June, and it says you need to choose before payments go out.

Thanks for all the replys. I did select individual account. Expat may have hit upon something it could have been bad timing.

oddly enough, I actually had the payment approved before setting the account type.

I figured it was for next month's payment.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's just that you didn't have a full month (May) so it will just roll over to next time. That's what happened to me anyway (many months ago).

Thanks Donna I'm beginning to think you are correct. I just thought if I got in before the last payment (17th of May) I would qualify.

Donna you were 100% correct. I just got a email from Google and I didn't earn the $100 during the month of May. So it appears the checks issued on 16 June was for 1-31 May. So they are 16-17 days behind on payments. I guess it's good to understand how the system works.

Right, cobaltlady. You *usually* get your check at the end of the month AFTER the previous month. So end of June for May earnings, end of July for June earnings, etc. Every now and then, Google is unusually late with payment (a week or two late), and everyone gets upset, but luckily it only happens now and then. Most of the time, they are fairly consistent with getting them out on time.
