Most payment processors does not require any initial deposits. The most popular ones are paypal, moneybookers and e-gold.

If you look for an e-wallet solution like Paypal, Moneybookers etc. then as already said, no one will ask for a deposit. If you look for a direct merchant account then many will charge you a setup fee.

If you are from country which is listed in paypal's supported countries then go with it as there is no need of any initial deposit. Paypal is widely accepted as payment processor.

Note that E-gold is NOT a payment processor but an e-currency, both are very different.
The popular ones nowadays are: MoneyBookers, Alertpay and PayPal.
I suggest them in the following order: Alertpay, MoneyBookers, PayPal.

Using Alertpay instead of PayPal will save you a lot of trouble in the future, whether your business is considered as "risky" by them or not. MoneyBookers is a bit of a stronghold, even potential (legit) customers get their account blocked as soon as they want to register and make a credit card payment, two of my customers tried this and it happened to both of them.

ECSuite doesn't require any sort of setup or monthly fee, some other third party processors you could check out that have no setup fee:

    avangate
    plimus
    shareit

Those are all for digital content though, not tangibles, so depends on what you want to sell.

Alertpay and MoneyBookers support credit card processing and even help you reclaim your money from fake buyers, Google Checkout is another option. If you require more rights you should set up your own credit card processing system (costly) or use a merchant account.
