Hello guys, my name's Kenny. I am under the age of 18, so lots of payment options are not available to me. I plan to sell products and goods online but paypal, google checkout, alertpay, etc. all require you to be 18 years or older. My question is: are there any networks that do not require a certain age? Or a network where someone over 13 can sell? I am not looking for "just ask your parents to do it for you." I would like a legitimate service that will let me sell items. If there are no networks that allow this, is there any network that will let my parents send a fax or phone them in order to get accepted? In the future I would like to accept as many as payment options as possible so please provide a lot of well-known and reputable ones... Thanks.
Since you cannot legally be a party to a contract, you must have a parent or other adult that can legally represent you enter the contract for you. I think you can sell on ebay if you are under 18. No matter where you sell, it the payments part that's going to require someone over 18. Processors all require an 18+ applicant since there are legal liabilities with regard to fraud and chargebacks. I don't know of any that allows under 18 because the processor stands to lose a lot of the seller ends up processing a bunch of fraudulent transactions and there's no legal avenue for them to pursue to get their money back.
Yes,g36 is right that.you can sign up for paypal, alertpay or google checkout based on your parents name
I dont think anything like that exist for minors , but in paypal use your parent identity , nothing is problem
Check out SolidTrust Pay - as long as you include your parent or guardian's name along with yours when requesting any withdrawals, you are free to buy and sell online through STPay even if you are under 18.
