May be taking on a project from an Indian company, and I would like to receive payment via Paypal in American dollars. Can someone inform me how I can make sure that the payment process runs as smoothly as possible. Any advice much appreciated. Thanks

I guess the first step you need to take is have your business account set up and verified. After you've established the account you can add a checkout link to your website in order to have the customers paying directly into your paypal account without any hassle. Thats pretty much what you need to do.

    Hello,

Thanks for the responses. I have a premier account with 30 transactions. The person could just send me the money if I gave them the address, correct?

The only thing I fear is the dreaded chargeback. Regarding chargebacks, if I leave the money in there for a time and it is charged back will there be a problem with my account as far as a fine goes. I understand that I would lose the money for my work, but if the chargeback just takes back exactly what was put in , and I never withdrawa,l will there be some other complication?
    Any response appreciated. Thanks.

chargeback is the painful out of all because you have to pay the chargeback fees which can be from $15 to $30 depending on the amount of money.... so use moneybookers because moneybookers dont allow chargeback and once you get paid, you stay paid... paypal is not really good for marchants as no matter what you do, you will always lose the money because paypal have no marchant protection at all... also if too many chargeback are made from you, them paypal will lock your account and you will never be able to use paypal again unless you change your legally name and address.. but at money bookers you will not have any problem like this... except money bookers is not widely used...

Question , If I leave the money in there to wait a few days or so to see if a chargeback occurs, will I still be charged a chargeback fee if they just take back whatever was paid for the service?
