Payment Disappeared around $500 Need help!!!

hi DPiars,

I have a Paypal account from belgium, which i rarely use to get the payments recently I've recovered that account through the forgot password procedure, but the problem is that when i logged-in, my balance showing $0.00 USD/€0.00 Euro, while there should have a decent amount,because i got a payment notification email that was send on 3rd Jan 2013 but that amount is not showing up here in my paypal account where it has gone ?

so anybody who can suggest me that what should i do now?

First of all, you should check your transaction history and see if it really came or who it was sent to from your account.
If its not there, then most probably the email which you got on 3rd was fake.

 

That cannot be a fake i know the sender,in fact i have a snapshot with status "completed", my primary currency is Euro is there a problem of different currency?

 

That sounds like you got a Fake email notification, i hope you didnt go to your paypal account via the links in that email? if you did, contact paypal ASAP.

 

If you saw the balance in your Paypal that day, then check in transaction history to whom it was sent.

 

The amount couldn't simply disappear. If you have seen the new balance after logging in you should check your transaction history, can you still see the transaction there? If so what is it's status? Is that the latest transaction?

 

i doubt you get the fake email, check back the history, and you shall call up paypal to solve the problem

 

if you indeed got the amount, then it can't disappear in thin air. Either your account may have been compromised or paypal reverted the funds, for either of the cases, you need to check your Paypal transactions history for the past 20 days.

You could very well call paypal or email them about this issue, they could run an investigation for you if needed.

 

Yes! Its really Looks Like You Receive a Fake Email. It will Be Done By Some Hackers, So Just Beware of that. If You Think That It is not a Fake, Then Contact PayPal & Send them a Screenshot of that Email. I hope This Will Help You.
