I've been struggling to get traffic to or make money on my new site ( math20.com ) and I thought of maybe having users sign up for an account and paying them to send in problems. Deal or no deal?
dont do it.. i think a site like this should take off with a little marketing to the right people this kind of site should get promoted by word of mouth pretty quickly IMO im guessing your target audience would be highschool/college aged people? i would use that money and try promoting it to people that use things like myspace, theres alot of people that get tens of thousands of friends on myspace then offer to send a bulliten to them for a price.. i think submitting press releases at sites such as www.prweb.com should help alot too (most are free) also i think www.digg.com has the right audience for your site.. if you can get a few people to "digg" your site you should be able to get some puplicity from there just what i would do tho
Thanks for the suggestions. I submitted a story to digg.com, it got 32 diggs but not enough to get to the homepage. Should I submit again?
Semi-deal. It's called branding, there are wise ways to spend the money and that knowledge is experience/expensive.
im not exactly sure how digg works since ive never used them but it may be possible to still get that story you submitted to the front page with some more diggs.. not sure though i see alot of people paying people in forum currency on other forums to digg there story.. or "you digg mine i digg yours type deals"
