Hello. First sorry about my horrible english. Google translator is my friend xD I want to start a tutorial site. A site where teachers can teach with videos, articles and live streamings. To get benefits i can set a paying system where user make a monthly payment and get access to the content. Another idea is set an open site and get benefits from ads. With ads on the videos and streamings today the teachers have streaming channels on justin.tv with 2.000.000 visits, 5.000 followers and +500 viewers on live streamings. I can get 4 teachers with these numbers. Where do you think i can get more benefits¿? 50-100 paying members or thousands of free users¿? Thanks
It depends on your model. I think you have two options:L 1. If you go with an ad model then you have to make the content self-generating (from your perspective). That is, users should be able to upload their own teaching content in exchange for some portion of ad revenue. This would mean the site would have tremendous potential to become huge. 2. If you go with a paid subscription model then you have to make sure that the content is really useful. That means you will have to pay for it being made (or again, share revenue) and monitor it for quality and update it all the time yourself. I would go with #2 because #1 would have to reach critical mass to become self-sustaining and that would require a big marketing spend.
I really dont know anything about video ads. The ads before the videos are CPC or CPM? With 10.000 daily can I get good benefits¿? Thanks one more time
