One of the ads that displayed on one of my sites today went to: http://www.geocities.com/unogov/ I was curious so I took a look (don't worry, I never clicked my own ad.. ) Is someone paying good money to advertise a "site" like this? All it has in an e-mail address. And what is alienware?
I'd like to know too. . anyway, I got this from there.. Alienware the best laptop from markets ! Code (markup):
I can't remember, all I know it it made me curious. If it pops up again I'll post the text here. [EDIT] Second question solved. I did a google search for alienware. Apparently it's a computer manufacturer. Crazy site: http://www.alienware.co.uk/Promotion_Pages/Are-you-ready-to-play/main.aspx
I imagine Google doesn't critique it's advertiser's ads...it just signs them up. Shame some of them are not quite right in the head.
The site doesn't display Adsense ads, but it originated from an Adsense ad. The point I was making is that this site was one of the ads that displayed on one of my sites. For it to show up I presume it must come from an Adsense advertiser. It just made me curious that's all.
I guess it could win an award for the most white space on a page, or perhaps the least number of words on a page.
Hah. Unbelieveable! The weird and wonderful people and websites on the internet never ceases to amaze me!
I can almost gurantee it's stolen I see these spammer types on IRC all day. They get you to mail them some low amount of money like $300-$500 in the back of a CD Jewel Case (cash, of course) and promise to mail you some bad ass piece of equipment (alienware laptop, now owned by dell if I'm not mistaken). So you'll either get ripped off, or receive a hot laptop. Good luck!
