Alright, I plan on asking my accountant in a bit- But I figured you guys might know as well. I'm planning on hiring a few employees (website work/graphic design)- And I've found a perfect candidate...only problem is, she resides in the UK.

I'm not sure on the tax laws in the UK- She says she doesn't know what the W4/10-99 is, etc. I know there are "VATS" overseas there, but forgive me- I'm very new to this...so I'm not exactly sure!

Rather than doing the individual contractor thing- I want to bring her aboard onto payroll for part-time employment. I'm not exactly sure what she and I would need. If you have any info, please let me know.

    Thanks so much in advance.

Do yourself a favor and keep her as a contractor. It will save you a lot of trouble.

Your better off asking the bank or somewhere about the Tax/Vat bit.

Contractor is definitely the best way to go. In terms of taxation, it means you pay nothing to the UK - she pays tax as she would otherwise at home. Honestly, this is by far the best way to go.
