Did someone, from this forum, have paid for link from some good site ? Good site - high traffic site. And how much did you paid for that link ? I have site about mobiles and I want to pay for some high traffic site link.
This doesn't answer your question, but personally I would never pay for a link. In my opinion, there are better ways to promote a site than paying for links.
you have to go for building links for your site and make more and more submissions to directories as many free are avilable in solicitors sections
The link sales forum will give you excellent input as to how much link sales go for, and what kind of traffic each site gets. There are some very affordable places to advertise.
If you want to pay for links just for traffic, why not work with PPC. That way you are sure that you will generate X amount of traffic by spending Y $. Whereas if you purchase a link just considering the traffic of link giving site, it may happen that none of their visitors click on the link and you receive no real traffic at all.
Well I have paid for links around $50 per link on sites that had less then 100 uniques a day. And had also recieved $5 to $10 in return. But in end when I calculate I had paid more in links then I had ever earned from it.

how do link specialists charge for their service? x amount of $ for y number of inbound links? Thanks
Couple of. The most major of all is if you are doing it at big level, the Big Daddy will personally ban your site and from that point onwards you will be continuous under radar. I have been a victim of big time link purchasing and that resulted in almost wiped out business and a kick from adsense as well. Purchasing link looks very attractive when you start, but at the end of the day after few years, you realize had you gone through the old and conventional methodology, it would have been cheaper and long lasting. Better spend your dollars on building good content mini sites, have some people offshore running a link building camapaign for you (if you dont have time) and build a nice network of sites all with huge number of incomming links. May be to begin the operation you can purchase some links to make some quick bucks, but most certainly the road ends at some point of time if you keep on doing same practices. I have returned back to the good ole style of web-sites where in you just build nice sits and get links to them through efforts. This I am doing after spending hundreds of thousand dollars (and sure enuf earning as well), but personally I feel I would have been much better had I notbeen engaged in link buying practise.
Incoming links - no one wants to put your link on their web. Why ? They have high traffic and they want money for it. I just want to put my link on 2-3 sites which have some good traffic.
