Right I've been working on a particular site of mine for around 7 months or so now and its starting to pick up and traffic etc is continuing to grow steadily month on month as is revenue so all is looking bright. While the going is good I've been thinking of finding a blogger to help keep the site fresh and regularly updated which would compliment my own work too (basically I want to increase my daily content and not put my feet up and let someone else do all the work). Is there any guidelines on how much someone should pay for a blogger? I know this is a pretty open ended question but if they were for example to post 3 entries a day on weekdays. I'm always reading articles with people saying they've paid between $50 to $100 a month for something like this but in my experience have never found anyone articulate or even with the right grasp of the English language (and mines rather lackluster lol) willing to work for that kind of money. Short and sweet: 1: How much should you pay for a blogger? 2: Where do I find the cheap yet reliable dudes?
It will according to you site PR and the payment will base on review. You may get payment similar thouse sites like reviewme dot com
Well, if you are willing to spend some time to blog around the blogosphere, you will find some blog which is well written and normally they will have an advertise page.
Interesting question, I'm also wondering about it. How often do you need the blogger to post? I was personally thinking along the lines of hiring a guy (or girl) to write a 500+ word post per week to complement my own writings. And then, when the time comes, I'd hire one more blogger to write a post per week. More bloggers = more variation. But as you mentioned, it seems like a tough job recruiting these people. I mean, some people write for peanuts; make a post here on DP and you'll see. But we need people that can write not only proper English but also interesting posts with some valuable insight. You're getting into HR management in your internet business, man.
I am interested too! Would paying 5 bucks a 500+ word post be good, or is that below normal? Are their any bloggers here?
See this is simple, most firms who hire outside bloggers for variety and change often pay them per article and you can use the same startegy with your situation... do pay a blogger for work he does not do,negotiate a price to be paid for every 500 words or so of quality content, and the biggest plus point of this is that you can hire 3 bloggers to blog different content and get the juice from all 3
well.. if you are talking about a blogger.. i know a guy who does well.. and thats me hmm.. now to be honest. * i will not get into a work that doesn't fit my interest * There is no need for paying if you doesn't like my work pm if interested
Have you tried looking for volunteers? There are many bloggers that might blog about the same stuff. Most are also willing to post in other blogs for recognition. Just another option
Just my two cents - if you pay someone $5 per 500 words (which equals .01 cent per word, obviously) then don't expect any knock out writing. There are tons of people on DP that would do it for that price (and lower), but most of the quality you'll receive is well under par. I'm biased due to the fact that I am a content provider myself, and I pride myself on the higher quality articles I can produce. So if I was in the market to hire someone to write for me, you can bet I wouldn't be picking people that write for a penny or less per word, because I know what you'll get out of it. Hope that helps...
