Hello.. This is the second time ALL my posts got deleted on my blog... Maybe someone can assist me in figuring out what went wrong? Both times I've just tried to edit a post from the past, (updating the title tags with ALL IN ONE seo plug-in.) and removing the old 's in the post! I added tags using the new version etc etc.. then I click "update post" as soon as I do that I get a weird error that I've never seen before that says something along the lines of: "there is an auto-saved version of this post that is more up to date" .. So I just hit the "update post" button again, and went to check it - to make sure the post updated. It did. All is good. No other changes to the blog have been made. Later on that day, I'm talking to a designer and I go to the blog and I see this (what you will currently see): http://www.WarcraftLegion.com So I figured someone stole my password and deleted my post. I know for a fact I did not go in and delete all my posts. But I guessed maybe there was a possibility that I did it on accident. I called my hosting company, had they restore from the last server save. They did it, all is fine. Just today, I update my post AGAIN (repeat the same exact process as before) (so I can go from #3 to #1 in the search engines /sigh) anyways! All is good... and then oddly enough I'm talking to the designer again tonight - and I check the website and all the content is gone...again. The effect didn't take place immeidately.. and I KNOW FOR SURE that I did not delete the posts, because as soon as I made the changes, I logged out. Does anyone have a clue as to what happened? http://www.WarcraftLegion.com Any feedback would be appreciated. Oh.. I'd also like to add that everything was fine for 3-4 days (from the time I had it restored to the time I tried updating the post again).
it simply means ur database has been deleted. i assume you have a back-up of ur files .. (the one your hosting gave u) at the first time that this problem happened. You can easily restore it and get things back to normal. Then go install this plugin: http://lesterchan.net/portfolio/programming/php/ So you can create back-ups anytime you want.. which can be forwarded to ur email address. Lastly, pls change ur password (on ur wp admin and site ftp) as somebody keeps on deleting ur database. Could it be ur designer? Or somebody else who has access to your site?
Resolved! - For now atleast =) Thanks to the person who contacted me. Btw, it wasn't that it was deleted (just to clarify) it was a mySQL database error.. or something.. I'm not a techy =P Thanks again.
