I bought a .de domain at godaddy and want to use my server at hostgator, but I cannot change name servers. godaddy tells me: Thank you for contacting Online Support. There are 3 things to keep in mind when entering nameserver information for .DE domain names. • The first 3 bits of the IP address (C-class) is different for each nameserver. • A glue record is necessary for the domain on the nameservers. • The SOA (Start of Authority) must be within the following guidelines: refresh : 10000 - 86400 retry: 1800 -28800 expire: 604800 - 3600000 ttl: 180 - 345600 namecheap tells me: We could in theory setup the zone file on both name servers but you would have a problem with DNS being able to update when you make changes such as new domains or new subdomains. I would suggest using a 4rd part dns service such as zoneedit so that you will be able to manually administrate these domains. This way you could indeed have your nameservers on two seperate servers and also retain the ability to remotely administrate DNS at will. I dont understand any of this so if you can fix this for me or tell me exactly step by step what to so to fix it I will pay you $10.
Sorry, i foudn about it with the help of google, see for yourself, .de have problems in godaddy See this www.trap17.com/forums/how-park-de-domain-t43110.html That guy has same probs And http://www.google.co.in/search?q=Th...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
Thanks, that thread is not really giving the definitive answer about if godaddy is responsible for the problem. It must be someone here that have .de domains, what do you do ?
