Payed Links and Toolbar PR drop - Someone with experience?

    Hi

As my site was small I made some additional income with selling Footer Links on my website.
Due to long contracts payed up front I could not remove the links when Google announced that payed links will be punished.

Since a year now my visual google toolbar PR is 0

The last payed links on my site were removed 4 Month ago.

I don't suffer from the PR drop because it is not the internal google PR of my website.
In fact google loves my site and traffic is skyrocketing right now.

However just out of curiosity how long does it take google to remove the "punishment" when all links are removed?

    Anyone with experience about that?

If you have paid to others to links to your website, its not allowed as Google's laws. and if your website has been penalized by Google, No one can tell you when your website will be back to previous situation.

Congrats, I know some people that have waited much much longer after submitting a reinclusion request. The offence you committed can't have been too serious for them to have restored it so quickly. Just be aware that there have been cases where the next update rolls out your PR may hit 0 again because the restoration wasn't applied to the update and just to the current dataset.

Who cares about the PR, if your traffic hasn't dropped? You were probably manually edited by an engineer. Too much emphasis is placed on PR.

I think you are getting ample of traffic so what is the problem. Webmasters live for traffic and not for pr. Also when selling links be careful that you are selling links only to similar niche and its Tricky .Its a trick as how to present the links in the layout. Never do it as advertisements, sponsors or something like that.

I don't care about the toolbar PR.
I care about that I was punished by google and that was what I wanted to remove.

And I don't sell textlinks anymore unless they have a rel=nofollow tag so no worries there :p
