PayDL is a unique and custom coded PayPal IPN script that automates digital product sales.

I am selling a business that hasn't been opened yet. Basically, nearly everything has already been done for you (the script, homepage design, graphics, domains).


How does the script work?

1) You start off by adding a product through the admin CP
Adding a product requires specification of the following:
- Product name
- Price
- Upload (You can choose to upload either via your computer or link to an external URL)
- Expiry: You can specify in x weeks, x days, or x hours in which you want the download link to expire. You can also set it to never expire, or expire after first download.

2) After you've added a product, you will be given a static payment link
The link you'll be given will be something like this:
http://www.domain.com/ipn/buy.php?id=1

This link will go straight to the paypal payment page, which will then return to your site.

What's so good about this feature?

To date, I haven't seen an IPN script that gives you this kind of flexibility. Most other IPN scripts generate PayPal button codes that aren't always too easy to customize.

With static links, it's as simple as pasting on to others, and it's extremely easy to use whatever image you like, instead of being limited to the paypal buttons.

3) After generating the download link, you can pass it on

Once a user completes payment, they are taken back to a page on your site where they can download whatever product they paid for instantly! - The links are of course encrypted, and the file names/location will be hidden.

Not only that, but they will also emailed the download link in case they accidentally close the window or whatever..


What other features does the script have?

- Installation script: Installation is simple. All you have to do is set the MySQL database name/username/password in the config file and then run the install.php file to import the needed SQL data into the database

- Configuration: Configuration can be done via Admin CP. You can configure PayPal email, password, default currency, root, and download path.

Also, whenever you change your PayPal email, your payment links will be automatically updated to use your new PayPal email!

- Manage Products: Through the "Manage Products" area, you have quick access to all the payment links for all your products so you can easily copy/paste them whenever you need to. You can also edit product name, price, expiry, etc. and even upload another file to replace whatever you've already uploaded.

- Sale Stats: See how many sales you've made for each product and the total amount of money you've made from all these sales.

Reason for sale:

I'm going back to school soon and won't have time to do actually get started on all of this; promoting the business, offering support to customers, etc.

One of my sites has also grown out of shared hosting, and my host has asked me to move to a VPS or a dedicated server, so I'll also need to sort that out.

Probably going to spend my time/money instead on a niche affiliate site that I can put on autopilot, so I don't have to worry about much while I'm at school.
