Hi, I want to set up a pay per view movie site. I am planning to host the videos on Amazon S3. I want it so that the customer has to register and sign in in order to pay for and watch a movie. The important thing for me is that the videos should be played using the secure key from amazon that each person can only get access for 24 hours after paying for the movie. My question would be what plugins do I need to set this all up? Thanks for the advice.
You need a Membership management plugin, pay for the access. Free plugin: s2member.com Commercial: amember.com, magicmembers.com, memberwing.com ... I have tested them all, and I love amember most, it has all the functions and the nice UI. Hope this can help you!
Go for Wordpress and the Digital Access Pass plugin http://www.digitalaccesspass.com That plugin has literally everything on board you'll need for your purpose. There is no better plugin for that, it even includes S3 protection so people can't steal your content.
