Whoa now I am sold ....., seriously, how can you even compare the two ? I would compare it to : reading a book and every page you turn there's this little sound that pops out "WIN an iPOD" "You are the 1000 000 visitor congratulations"
The ads are contextually related, so if you have quality content on your site, your visitors should be interested in the ads that are played. Everyone thought motion pictures were GREAT when they first started... then they added sound... Could be the same thing with internet. If I am on a site that has content I want, and audio ads are annoying me, I would turn down the volume, not leave the site.
Internet with sound has been available since the very beginning I believe, it's nothing new .... maybe I am wrong .... correct me if I am wrong and then I will be the dickhead !!
History of the Internet The progression has been gradual. Audio advertisements also existed on the internet prior to NetAudioAds - but not in the same way. I was using an analogy. Perhaps too advanced for your level of intelligence and maturity. Your lack of both has been clearly demonstrated in this thread.
Its not important how things have progressed, the facts are PPP is happening now, so please once again lets keep the threads civilized.
Oh gee I am hurting deeply, and I was going to sign up under your affiliate link too .... Oh and a red rep - I am hurting bad now OUCH .... now that was mature
This is not excuse for that question, but the facts are the launch date didn't go as planned due to technical difficulties and 1 or two other issues which where dealt with over that weekend, since then a new date has been set with a recognized third party BPA for verification of all the data* concerned, once thats out of the way and verified it will be presented to that Top Search engine upon which that information about who they are will be released. Data* will consist of Global reach statistics
This programs has pros and cons. It can be very suitable for some sites and very unrecommended for others. Something else is not very clear to me, I added the code, I see the stats, all is fine, but no ads play, 0 revenue, do I have to wait until someone buys ads on my sites? or how does this work?
There are very few ads been sent out while in testing mode, approximately only 100'000, pending when you signed up, I don't think any went out yesterday for some reason or another which I don't know the reason for yet.
TV got so much better when people 5 minutes of advertisements between the shows, and I'm just waiting for movies to start having Taco Bell ads start playing in the middle, so I don't see why web visitors wouldn't also want ads coming out of their speakers.
What has already been mentioned before in this thread, and over at SitePoint, because many are reading and researching. They don't want to hear any unexpected sales pitches. Some, perhaps many will not come back to such a site after hearing it so many times. Add them all up in say, a year's time, and it, well, adds up. Then there's the problem with being at work.... It seems like a good idea when first heard of, but only a complete moron would keep at it with such an idea most Webmasters will not use. The smart ones know that they can make just as much money, if not more with the regular ads, and without turning any away. It's funny, but I'd be willing to bet that there are more affiliates pushing this thing than there are actual Webmasters using it. Look at all the ones in this thread, the poor sensitive ones that got their toes stepped on by reading the reality on this. KFC is cooking some chicken! I'm off for lunch! Can I get you affiliates anything???
To partly answer the poster above me. As for the rest, I thought I'd annoy you affiliates. You know, sort of like when Pay Per Play annoys visitors. Couldn't figure that out, huh? Want some chicken, Mr. Pay Per Play? Nice quoting job, by the way. *snicker*
Why don't you post something constructive that hasn't been brought up already in this thread that you just cant keep away from, instead of spamming the forums with your idiotic comments.
lol so he quotes me again! What's the matter, Nancy, can't you keep up? Haven't you noticed that I love picking on you spammers? Pay attention, will ya?
I would say this is the best way forward ignore Perry just go about this thread as if he was not here..
Mmmm I was thinking Perry was the only one making sense here .... and even giving the better advice .... I guess it really depends on your grasp of the reality or your want and hope that PPP is a valuable resource - which clearly it isn't (not yet anyways).
