They have opened this thread on the sllppp forum because I said this:
So, am I right or... am I right?! Thanks Audio-Adverts!

To that, Larry has an answer:
The emphasis on "and paid for" is courtesy to Larry Host.
So what can one understand from all this? You may have ads played on your site, those ads might be converted in $$$ in your backoffice, but you're not entitled to be paid because the advertiser didn't paid for the ads! WTF is going on there?

This seems like quite a unique concept I wonder how effective it will be in the future.

I had them up and running for a day or 2. Got 1000's of impressions...0 revenue. Discontinued & really sad :(

I get over 70,000 page views/day and it would prove very useful to me ...but it looks like it's totally useless.

Those droolers on sellppp sound like HYIP members telling everyone "don't be negative, you're killing this GREAT program, Admin is soooo honest and trustworthy!" and all that BS. It's pathetic. When will people ever learn? Trusting people you don't know that have been convicted of a felony, filed multiple bankruptcies recently, and have no clue what they are doing isn't going to make you any money, especially with this dumb idea.

Advertisers aren't waiting on some BPA audit...they just aren't interested at all. The major search engine partner bit was all a load of hype to get the suckers to sign up in droves. It's Agloco all over again.

yeah... it looks bad. I'm about to leave that boat too and I think I'm not the only one. This whole thing made me feel stupid. Trusting those people surely makes me look stupid and that's all I had to gain from the PPP experience.

I have actually had some email exchange with Webbin and he is not Larry. In fact he is just another innocent, duped by the Snake Oil Show.

The more of you who leave means more money for those of us who stay. The program is not a scam. My network of Websites itself has over 40,000 hits each day, and I am already making money. The more ads that play, the more I'll make. :D

I suppose the advertisers have a very different opinion.

On a positive note, I think these pay per play ads can be very useful on sites that involve audio and music where sounds and audio are expected on the part of site's visitors.

I hope you get the money, but based on the reputation of hte people running this side show it looks doubtful that you will. Hope you prove me wrong...

Yeah, but then remains the question: how effective the audio ads really are? If I hear a 5 second ad telling me "go to whateversite.com", I won't bother to type all those letters in the address bar. Yeah, they have that key feature (press a key to go to the site), but, really doesn't look very effective. It is pretty difficult to make someone click on an ad, it's gonna be more difficult to make a visitor look for a specific key on his keyboard and then hit it.

Sorry, but how did you came up with this stupid idea? If there are less and less publishers, there will be less advertisers. Following your logic, the more publishers are there, the less money they'll get, so your interest is to boycott PPP and convince people NOT to join the program. Are you? Don't think so.

My guess is that your 40k hits a day is making you less than 70 cents a day. That about right?

Post some screen shots of your stats if you are going to make blanket statements like this.

By the way, I am sure that advertisers love the idea of the network falling apart.

I tried a pay-per-play audio ad program for one of my sites maybe a month back and I really didn't understand why, but the ads didn't load properly... in the status bar at the bottom of explorer or firefox it shows that its trying to load something, but no ad ever played... and I never got credited for any plays for the amount of time I had it up... so I ditched it...

if there are any ppp systems that work well.. Id be down to try it out
