Pay-Per-Play Ads

    Anyone else signed up for the recently talked about Pay-Per-Play ads? The company I worked for got contacted by them and told them would not only make money on every impression, but potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars. The concept (to me) is great because they're short and you dont' lose visitors.

    I registered, and it appears "paying" ads go live Feb 1st, not sure if you have join the beta before that or miss out.

    You've already seen the threads on this before. The replies you get are the same as in those.

    Here's my same reply: If they automatically play when a visitor comes in, I wouldn't want it.

    Now why do I have this feeling that another thread just like this will be started tomorrow?

    How do you know when the program is not even live yet?


    So somebody else can post there referral link and get sign ups under them.

    I meant that you aren't sending visitors away from the site itself, unlike common advertising programs like Google.

    Pay-Per-Play is a pretty bad idea. It mightwork for some sites with few returning visitors, but with high traffic. Anyway, the audio ads will make your visitors not to return, that for sure, I don't know about the traffic... I have joined the program and I have left it when if figureed it out what it is all about.

    It has only one good point: it's free.

    Now the bad points:

    1. If you join their forums, do NOT disagree with anyone in there!
    2. Do NOT show any concern about the program. They'll take this as an offence and they'll ban you, or worse, they (the mods) will make public your site stats!
    3. Have PATIENCE: nothing is gonna happen anyway!
    4. Have FAITH in the program. Trying to sort things out using logic or common sense is not going to help you at all.
    5. Don't even think to CRITICIZE (constructive or not) the program, the forum mods arrogant attitude or the nonsense you may come upon in the forums. You will be immediately be flagged as a agitator and you'll get tons of aggressive not-very-friendly remarks.
    6. If you still want to be active on the forums, do not forget that you joined a bunch of ass-kissers with a very simple belief system: if they kiss each other's ass and together they kiss the moderators' asses, this PPP bull shit will actually work!
