I hope this is the right place for this. I was wondering how I could make users pay per download. I would like to use paypal to do this if possible. Thanks in advance for the help.
its as usual, give free membership, then tell them to add some money in to there account, when they are click the download link minus the money from there account... You need a coder for that....

Are you selling software of some type? I use e-junkie.com. It automates the process and is only a $5.00 per month investment. It is well worth it.
Hi, If you are selling only one item then a simple Paypal buy it now button with a download page on return to merchant will do the job. If you have lots of items then use a cart system such as cubecart. T
An easy (and free at lower volume levels) solution for selling digital goods via paypal (and Google checkout) is Payloadz.com. They make it very easy to do exactly what you described. -P
CPALEAD has the ability to set up a pay per download via paypal. I found it useful but keep in mind that paypal takes at minimum 33 cents off any transaction.
