    The entire magazine industry is built around selling ads. If good writers can find a way to get paid for their work it should encourage more work. I know I spend more time on my sites now that I get paid for it.

    I suspect this massive up-surge in users is why Google has altered their TOS to be able to drop advertisers who don't meet minimum impressions/clicks targets (not that they've actually specified what these targets are yet).
