Advertise your new website at those "Search Engine" by paying their "Pay per click" services. Does it work? I mean... i heard a lot of gossip actually this is wasting your money as those "Search Engine" site actually pay people to click on your website to con your money.... Anymore ideas to boost up the traffic? Thanks for sharing...
I think pay-per-click is a waste of money if you're trying to promote something that's free. It does, however, work good for things like affiliate marketing where your earnings could possibly exceed the cost of advertising.
Most people who sign up to click for payment don't usually take a look at the ads, they just click on it until their time is up and repeat the step for the rest of them.
hi greg, thanks for your information! I think it didnt really work out for "Pay per click" services coz i have tried 1 time paying $300. They didnt really tell me how many clicks per days, how many days they work on it. What a waste! I'm a newbie, sorry for askingt this... But how does this "affiliate marketing" works... Try to learn something here. Appreicate it, dude!
"True" affiliate marketing is where you setup a website known as a "landing page" that's specifically to promote a particular affiliate program or several related affiliate programs. Most people advertise their landing page through pay-per-click and hope they get good conversions. If the affiliate program pays $25 and you make a sale (aka conversion) for every $15 you spend then you'll earn $10. If you can "scale" your campaign by finding more keyword or phrases that give you the same results then you could probably earn some good money. I've never had any real luck with affiliate marketing and I'm skeptical whenever somebody says they earn thousands off it. Most people on the internet don't have their credit cards pulled out the second they visit your website. One thing, however, that I want to explore are lower paying affiliate programs for free giveaways and stuff like that.
Well, the concept of affiliate marketing really isn't a secret on the DP forums. It's how you actually make money with it which is the secret.
ya, i agree with Greg! i rather use the concept of affiliate marketing than paying for "Pay per click" services. I think affiliate marketing is more effective way to promote your site.
a robust marketing plan usually includes paid inclusion at yahoo and adwords at google within it. there are specialists who focus solely on ppc, but imho it's best to diversify with performance marketing as well.
It's a waste of money if you don't know what you're doing, but if you do know how to do it properly it is a gold mine.
The way to get the best results using PPC advertising is to be as upfront as possiblle. Make sure you use keywords that are not in high competition. Using a free keyword tool such as SEOBOOK is a good start, also make sure you put the price of the item you are selling on the ad. Unlike other advertising like email marketing, you don't want to entice anyone to click on your ad without knowing exactly what they are clicking.
From the few times I've tried Adwords, I used this very same approach. The only problem with choosing low competition keywords is that Google will up the minimum cost per click if you don't get enough click-throughs on the key word.
hey Trioman, Good explanation there! Do you all think advertise at those free classified website works? It takes lot of effort and times to do so, since it is free... well, the result isnt that huge. However, it still gains some visitors... But i'm still figuring out the affiliate marketing method to boost up the traffic...
