    If you are talking about PPC, than it is in no way harmful for any website. But be aware of PTC advertising, which can create bad impression on your sites reputation.

    Pay per Click is good for your website. It will not harm your site but I think there something in your mind about paid stuffs over internet. I think you talking about Paid Backlinks.. Can you give some details for the same??

    It won't affect your SERP ranking if that's what you mean. But if you're using another monetization method like affiliate sales, adding PPC ads could reduce your overall income.
