We are experimenting with pay per action marketing on focused credit related sites. This refers to alternative method of partnership where the partner is paid not per sale but per a specified action, such as click, filling out a form or sales lead. This removes some risk from publishers since they do not have to sell just provide a qualified lead but compromises on revenue. Anyone has experience working with such offers? Who do you work with? What is your experience like? What are the "best-in-class" practices? How does it compare to affiliate marketing in terms of revenue?
You could also check with Cost Per Action (CPA) model from google, however I am not sure they have launched or not; http://www.itpro.co.uk/news/88707/google-tries-cost-per-action-model.html?searchString=google
