hi, I have a forum, just checked the Keyword tool of google. and Found that in the last month, around 10k searches have queried for the name of my City (Its a regional forums). So is there anyway to advertise using Adwords that I have to pay ONLY if the visitor register himself?
There is no option such as that. The only thing you can pay Google for is for them to provide you with the clicks. It's your job to convert the clicks.
Ok, I have heared about Cost Per Action, whats that? Isnt that the same? Like if someone completes a specified action only then the advertiser will be paying?
you can opt for some leads .... but thats worth the effort only when you are running some nice high valued busniess .... I dont think for small starter sites is worth the effort with that adwords is enought .
you can use the cost per action, but the traffic is really low and usually is only affiliate traffic. Its not traffic from google search network
That's not strictly true as Google have 3 different Cost per Aquisition (CPA) platforms, 2 within content/affiliate and one for search - Google's Conversion Optimizer uses normal search (and content if opted in) traffic in exactly the same way but can be used to match to a CPA rather than CPC. You may be refering to pay-per-action or the Performics Affiliate network: http://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61449 In order to use CPA bidding you must: Be using Google Conversion Tracking Have been running the account for at least 30 days with tracking in place and received at least 100 conversions (more is better) Activate Conversion Optimiser Google explains the system here: http://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=60150 As a rule it doesn't really make any difference - it can't be guarenteed and you may have to pay more than you specify. Google do say that you should see an increase in ROI as a result of using the system... Anyone out there with practical experience of using it?
