Pause or hold certain keywords in Adwords

I want to know how do I control or hold certain keywords from being targeted in Adwords?

Select your keywords which keywords you want put on hold.
Click on “change status” on the middle of the top and select “pause”.

 

You can pause under performing keywords easily in adwords. In your Adwords account just go to the keywords tab. Beside the keywords column there should be a little green circle. If you click on the circle beside the keyword you want to pause you should be able to change the status to paused there, and your ad will stop showing for that keyword.

 

either pause these keywords, or if you are using broad matches, add them up as negatives

 

you can pause any keyword or with other method you can add that keyword to negative keywords list so the ad will not appear on that keyword.
