Paul's High PR Backlinks ?? What is it?

Discussion in 'Link Development' started by B.Williams, Jan 29, 2010.

I've read some people talking about Angela's and Paul's sites are good for backlinking.

However, what are they actually? And, what are the names of their sites? I'd like to check them out and see if it really works.

Thank you for your valuable answers

Almost garbage. Have tried the package. From 200 profiles google in 3 months only found 5 backlinks to my site. Many sites know that they are in Angela's and Paul's list and simple remove all backlinks. Do not waste your time

Speaking of Angela and Paul's Backlinks, does anyone know where one could find which of the older links are still relevant, and which have been closed off by various sites?

    Thank you in advance

They have the potential to be great backlinks.

Angela and Paul are two people who find sites that have high PR but are also considered "high quality" in Google's eyes, and show their users how to get a link on that site.

Often is entry / mid level social media sites where you can have a visible profile.

The problem is that they've become quite popular, so that once they announce those links, those sites are essentially spammed by so many people trying to build backlinks.

The end result is that the quality of those sites go down, and those sites make changes so that people cannot post a link on their profile, or other adjustments.

I'd be interested in seeing if anyone has had (longer term) success with these, and how they recommend the best way to ping a new profile is?

The PR of these links discussed is the homepage PR not the PR of your profile page ( where your link will be ). The profile page will often be PR0 and stay that way for a long time ( especially if your not actually participating in the forums ). The links in these packets are majority forums / sites were users have a personal page.

Its a list of places you can post your url on your profile page. Most are forums like this one. You have to pay $5/ month to get the 'packet'.

I find them useful for building page rank to a site. It is pretty easy to get to PR3 by building backlinks using Angela or Paul's backlink packets. However, I have not found that these backlinks improve search engine rankings for terms I've targeted (even non-competitive terms).

    @mujaheed and @B.Williams

Almost any "social media" site now lets you have a profile

On that profile, you can often have an "about you" page

This page can often contain a link to your homepage.

As these "social media" sites have good "credentials" in google's eyes, the links associated with them do as well.

I'm not going to give a specific one here, but go to almost any social media photography / article submission / special interest "community" site, and you're likely to see an example.

Or, just google the term and you're likely to find their information

From what I know, they provide list of sites where you can drop your link(s) for free. This generally involves creating an account on the site and updating profile etc. Don't expect any kind of miracle with these kind of links. They don't carry much value since it's very easy for everyone to gain links, but they won't harm the site either.
