hello all what do i need to do this i have a form to fill out but to stop peeps not being genuine they fill in name and email addy and submit then auto send them a password so they can then login and finish filling out the rest of the form hope you can understand what i mean as i am still newbie he he he cheers Doug
Alright, to give you an idea: Have your form post to a PHP script. Ensure you escape all data, check the email for validity (as best you can) and generate a random password. Insert all this into your database. Create your email and send it with the correct data filled in. And there you go, they have their new pass. Dan

very little but its not a full detail i need just a short way they fill out form with name, email then that gets put in database if email is correct and a temp password is emailed back to them with out me having to do any thing cheers Doug
Well you kinda need to know a bit more than a little to understand how to do this. Do you know about MySQL Databases?
