Password Protecting Directories. But Allowing Registration Through Paying

    Hello,

    I need to password protect my /forum directory. I want to do this as it is a paid to access forum and SMF does not have a Paid Subscriptions Mod like Vbulletin and if it does I am not familiar with it.

    I would like to know. How I can setup a password protect on the directory ( I know how to do it through Cpanel ) But allowing registration to access the forum directory ( not signing up to the forum ) Through Paying via PayPal.

    I am also looking to integrate this into Joomla.

    Any help will be most appreciated.

    This would require a bit of coding, as there will be a registration page and then a payment gateway and then it would be stored in the databases.
    Are you a programmer yourself,in that case yu can do that, other wise assign the work to someone who know this.

    I just saw that a membership software would do the trick. Im saving up to buy one at the moment :)
