You must pay to take the Google test. They do not pay you your fee back. You just get credits that are applied to your accounts when you start new ones.
Make sure you list yourself on http://www.whoisagap.com/ - especially if you want to turn your accreditation into a consulting career. I passed too recently - there are not too many GAP's worldwide - current figure is 815 individuals - you must have been in the first 500 or so individuals worlwide to pass if you did this in April 2006. Well done.
I think the number would be greater than 2k, the numbers in that site is that of those who listed their infos
Ive been debating whether to take this for my own reasons ... just curious how much time you put in to study .. did you just go through the tutorials, take the test, and voila?
I would say, if you are an experienced adwords user , you need go into the learning center at all., I never looked at the learning center even once and took the exam casually
Those of you reading this thread might find this of interest: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=5068657#post5068657 And yes, I was one of the first to pass the exam as well, however, I honestly haven't used it much in two years and never listed in www.whoisagap.com - I absolutely didn't even know that site EXISTED until a couple of days ago, so obviously you need to actually enter your info in there - there is substantially more then 850+ GAP's worldwide - over 100 passed it on the first day alone when it was offered.
