Recently I've been trying a lot of marketing method, I knew email marketing is still working and wonder how's the conversion rate for forum marketing? Anyone has any idea on this? Please advise. Thanks
IMO if done correctly it's a very good marketing method. It can be very time consuming though and you are wasting your time spamming forums because any legit site where you would want a link will have good moderation.
If you are not using it already setup google analytics and you will be able to see your sources of traffic. It will allow you to track how visits you get from the forums you post on and allow you to make judgement which ones you should visit more often or work harder on.
It works very well, but you have to ensure you post valuable/useful content and develop a trusted reputation over time in there. Once you do that though, and post lots of threads with good content, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to generate targeted traffic effortlessly to your site/offer.
Well, don't know the numbers, but as I know - best is targeted email marketing. second is social media and forums, third - directories and fourth spaming away everywhere.
conversion would depend on the target niche. you have to pick froums that are related to your website niche, only then you can have good conversion. forums in general are places to learn and share.
You have to be an authority on a topic _____ (fill in blank) to really get true SM potential from forums.
The best way to get traffic from forums is to provide value to the forum and help the community out. It will start out slow, but once you become a little more trusted and others see that you know what you're talking about, then the forum members will get curious about you and start checking out your sig file to learn more about you. But you have to become part of the community first...before you 'advertise'
Participate and offer helpful advice use the signature to link to your product/website. It really is as simple as that.
i think forums are the best place to go. But you need to waste time and energy with spamming and some time all your work is null with some rule violation.
